Spectacular Pied Piper Car Show raises over £40,500 for children in Gloucestershire

Last week over 400 classic cars and 3000 visitors and guests arrived at Highnam Court for the charity’s annual Classic Car and Gardens event. A record number of classic cars for the 15th show put on a worthy display set in the stunning gardens, amid 6,000 roses, trees and oriental planting in the grounds of Highnam Court.

A one-day event, the car show raised a staggering £40,583 for sick & disabled children in Gloucestershire.

The 2025 car show winner’s trophy was presented to Aaron Boon for his 1993 BMW 850i M Sport that belonged to his late father, David, who was a regular exhibitor at the show.

Thanks to Roger Head OBE DL and headline sponsors, Malvern Tyres Group and APM Fire & Security, who helped us stage this one-day show. At peak times all roads leading into Highnam Court had visitors queuing, but the APM car parking team managed the queues swiftly and effectively.

A prize-rich raffle, many cups of tea and slices of cake in the Orangery, games, stalls and retail opportunities delivered something for all the family, including petting animals, soft play, steam rides and sweet stalls. Acts on the traditional bandstand welcomed performances from the Rock Choir and the Belmont School Choir who entertained crowds on the green.

Ben Caton, chair of the Pied Piper Appeal said: “This year saw another incredible turnout for the Pied Piper Car Show. Thousands of people came along to enjoy the spectacular cars, entertainment, and gardens of Highnam Court.

“As one of our annual flagship events, it is a source of immense pride for everyone involved, from the 80+ volunteers right through to our trustees and board. The car show holds a special place in my heart as it was one of my first introductions to the charity and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!”

Having founded the show 15 years ago, Nick Broady, chair of the Trustees said: “Thank you to every single business that supported us and made this day possible, as well as all the visitors who came along to share the day! We couldn’t put this event on without the kindness and generosity of local businesses and sponsorship. Our red and blue army of volunteers ran the day and made everything happen. It was great to see huge crowds of families, children and dogs!

Ben added: “We have already pledged funds to various large-scale deserving projects across the county, and we also continue with our funding towards the Belmont School inclusive cycle track and Wish holidays for children with life-limiting conditions.

“Save the date! We are back again next year Sunday 14 June 2026.”
