Charity & Family Day at Rugby Raises £4600

The second annual Pied Piper Family Day at Kingsholm was held last month when the Cherry & Whites faced Sale Sharks. Once again, the Kingsholm faithful generously donated just under £5000 for the Club’s chosen charity.

The Pied Piper Appeal raises funds to improve the lives of sick and disabled children across Gloucestershire, and has joined forces with the Cherry and Whites to continue a long-standing partnership and raise money to go towards projects in the Children’s Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

For many seasons now, supporters will have noticed the Pied Piper Appeal presence on the Kingsholm Stadium turnstiles, operated purely by volunteers, so the Appeal are no strangers in a partnership that has grown and strengthened over many years. With the Friends of the charity wearing special Pied Piper branded T-shirts on match day, the players also warmed up in them creating a sea of red.

It was a great family day with teddies, treats and goodies for all the supporters who were kind enough to dig in their pockets.
