Pedal4PiedPiper virtual cycle event raised £4000

In place of its annual Sportive, the Pied Piper partnered with the Rotary Gloucester Quays team to run a virtual cycling event for fundraising, last month.

The ride involved individuals, families and some local businesses, including Randall & Payne, cycling varying distances across the week and raised just under £3600 which was generously rounded up by Lee Summers at Elmrep Office Solutions and he is seen here presenting the cheque to Cathryn and Julie from Pied Piper.

Rider medals are available for collection at the charity’s shop on Court Road Brockworth.

Thanks to the many local businesses who generously supported and sponsored the event: Wholly Gelato, Randall & Payne, Avenue Cars, EG Carter, Tayntons Solicitors, Abbey Business Solutions, Cool Hire Refrigeration, BST Electrical, SK Refrigeration Heating & Cooling, Letters & Lights, Gloucestershire College, Clifton Cameras.

Cycling in lockdown became extremely popular and the charity plans to run the event again online next year as well as bringing the actual Gloucestershire road-based Sportive back.
