For some, school is their routine, they know what is coming next and they have someone to turn to if needed.
At home, things could be difficult and they can feel lost, disorientated and misunderstood.
Others have been on a mental health journey that they have struggled with for a long time. They cannot face anyone, can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The Journey Boxes shed some light and a bit of joy in that dark tunnel.
This is the inspiration of Jasmine Beever, our Pied Piper Young Ambassador for children admitted to hospital with mental health issues. The boxes are filled with the sorts of things she would have liked when she was admitted over two years ago and help brighten any hospital appointment or stay. She said that suffering with mental health illness is a journey and even at the age of 16 she is still on her journey.
As mental health has increased for young people the boxes are in great demand and Jasmine is doing a fantastic job in meeting this demand.
If you know someone who is struggling – please get them to seek help.
If you would like to support these boxes through the Pied Piper Appeal, please contact our office.
