Saturday (2nd April) saw the annual charity day for the Pied Piper Appeal at Gloucester Rugby; the club’s designated charity for 2022.
With face painting, handouts and activities in the Fan Zone, volunteers were on hand to entertain children before kick off, including the Pied Piper mascot bear.
Chairman, Nick Broady said: “We were over whelmed by the positive support we received in the boxes from the corporates. Local firms are always so generous, as are the fans. It might not have been the result we wanted on the pitch but around the stadium we were thrilled with the outcome and met so many kind people.”
The charity raised almost £2500 in the couple of hours before kick off. Thanks to all who donated.
What’s next? May 8th-15th sees the Walk for Wellbeing week, culminating on Sunday 15th May at Highnam Court with a birthday celebration for the charity’s 30th Year.
