Charity Day at Kingsholm Buckets £3800

The damp weather didn’t phase the Kingsholm faithful on Saturday, nor the players.
Gloucester Rugby secured a much-needed win against Leicester Tigers 24-17 watched by a full house that dug deep in their pockets for loose change!

It was the third annual Pied Piper Family Day and the Appeal the fans generously donated a fabulous £3,800, showing their continued support for the Club’s chosen charity.

For many seasons now, fans will have noticed the Pied Piper presence on the stadium turnstiles, operated purely by volunteers, so the Appeal are no strangers in a partnership that has grown and strengthened over many years. The players warmed up in charity tees and many supporters enjoyed a high-five and selfie with the Pied Piper mascot on stilts, helping to raise awareness.

The charity raises funds to improve the lives of sick and disabled children across Gloucestershire, and has joined forces with the Cherry and Whites to continue a long-standing partnership and raise money to go towards projects in the Children’s Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, facilities for special schools, memory-making holidays and paediatric mental health.
