Last year Pied Piper Appeal held an online auction in lockdown and the monies raised have supported the creation of its sensory music room at the Music Works, the only community music organisation in the county that focuses on disabled children and young people and works with all the SEND schools.

The Auction raised £16,475 which has gone a long way to funding this fantastic £30,000 project in the heart of Gloucester city.

The Music Works (TMW) transforms lives through music with a vision that all children and young people in Gloucestershire – particularly those facing barriers in music, learning and life – can realise their potential through music, and improve their life chances through creativity, building confidence, self-belief and motivation.

This new inclusive and accessible music studio is in the heart of Gloucester in King’s Square, housed alongside Gloucester Culture Trust’s cultural entrepreneurs’ hub. This first of its kind in the county, offering the latest music technology to really expand music for disabled young people and significantly increase opportunities for them.
